Jamshedpur: Sundernagar police on Sunday cracked a burglary case reported from Nildih village and arrested two men, while a minor involved in the crime was sent to the juvenile home.
The arrested accused have been identified as Manoj alias Tinku Tiu and Dhonu Hansda, both residents of Bagbera.
Police said the minor was produced before the concerned authority and later shifted to the juvenile correctional facility.
The case relates to a theft at the house of a local resident, Lagan, where burglars had decamped with two mobile phones and a motorcycle a few days ago.
Following the incident, police launched an intensive probe, scanning CCTV footage and activating their informer network. Based on a tip-off, the accused were nabbed.
During interrogation, Manoj confessed to committing the theft along with Dhonu and the juvenile. Acting on their leads, police recovered the stolen mobiles and bike.
Sundernagar police officials said the adult accused have been remanded to judicial custody, while the juvenile has been kept under statutory care.
They added that patrolling and raids will be further intensified to curb thefts and snatching incidents in the area.
