Jamshedpur, May 18: In a major breakthrough, city police have successfully dismantled a notorious vehicle thief gang, resulting in the arrest of nine individuals and the recovery of six stolen vehicles. The operation, which spanned several weeks, dealt a significant blow to the criminal network and provided a sense of relief to the affected communities.
Taking action, Golmuri police arrested nine youths and seized six stolen vehicles. Among those arrested are Amit Munda alias Tonto, resident of Golmuri Tuiladungri 125B block, Bittu Kalindi, resident of Burmamains Hanuman Mandir, Sagar Kalindi, resident of Tuiladungri, Basudev Behera, resident of Tuiladungri, Ravi Mahanand, resident of Tuiladungri, Amit Lohra alias Golu, resident of Sidhgora Tata Line, Burmamines Nivkhasi Rohit Kumar Jaiswal alias Dharti, Gurmit alias Golu and Pankaj Sharma, resident of Chaibasa.
The police recovered Honda shine JH 05CH 27907, Hero Deluxe OR14T 0602, Scooty JH05AU 8581, Hero Honda Splendor Plus JH 05J 9671, Activa JH 05DE 4586 and Hero Splendor Plus JH 05G 0776.
Acting on credible intelligence, a specialised team comprising police personnel from multiple units launched a series of coordinated raids across several locations.
Under the leadership of Golmuri police station in-charge Rajiv Ranjan, the team of under inspector Kundan Kumar Singh, Ritesh Tigga, Gopal Krishna, Nilesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar and constable Dilip Kumar Ram busted the gang.
