Jamshedpur, Jan 24: City police Thursday arrested three alleged supari (contract) killers planning to murder a local scrap dealer.
Those arrested were identified as Paramjeet Singh alias Babu Sardar, N Murali and Vikas alias Mudaiya. Police however did not disclose the name of the scrap dealer.
According to SP City Prabhat Kumar, �Police had got a tip-off about four supari killers possessing arms and planning to carry out a major crime near Jugsalai railway level crossing. We were able to arrest only three of them. A huge cache of arms was recovered from their possession.�
Kumar said the accused persons wanted to dominate the scrap business in the city after carrying out the murder plan. But their plan got leaked and they fell into police dragnet, he said.
