Jamshedpur Police appeal for peaceful Ramnavami celebration

Jamshedpur, March 24: City police have enhanced level of alertness in view of Ramazan and Ramnavami. They have appealed to the people to celebrate the festival of Ramnavami with peace and harmony. People of all communities should unite to ensure peace during the festival, officials said in a public appeal.

Senior police officials said all citizens should abstain from playing provocative music which may hurt the religious sentiments of other communities. They said people should not post objectionable material such as videos and photos on social media. In case such posts are seen by anyone, complaint can be made to the nearest police station or the police control room, officials said, adding that strict action would be taken against those found guilty. The identity of those sharing information with police would be kept secret.
