Jamshedpur: Playing with rope, six year-old dies of strangulation

Jamshedpur, Nov 8: One Mohammad Umar, a six year-old boy, died of strangulation while playing with a rope in his house at Road No. 15 under Azadnagar police station area Monday late night.

Sources said the child was playing with a piece of rope used to hang curtains in his house. After some time, the rope somehow got round his neck and turned into a noose. The child was strangulated by the rope as there was no elder to look after him. Finding him lying unconscious on the floor, his family members took him to Tata Main Hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead. Police later reached the house and began an investigation into the incident.
