Jamshedpur: The Photographers Association of Jamshedpur organized a grand flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, celebrating the spirit of patriotism, unity, and national pride. The ceremony was held at the association’s temporary office at Sonal Video, Kadma, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the photography community.
The national flag was jointly hoisted by Association Secretary Daljit Singh along with founding members Mukesh Prasad and Rupesh Prajapati. Following the hoisting, all present members sang the National Anthem and paid salute to the Tricolour.
A large number of office bearers, senior photographers, and members were present on the occasion, including Joint Secretary Rajesh Chauhan, Joint Treasurer Vinay Kumar, Executive Members Ranjit Singh Gabari, Om Prakash Sah, Ravi Kushwaha, founding members Mukesh Prasad, Rupesh Prajapati, Babulal Prasad, Balaji, Abhimanyu Kumar, senior photographer Didar Singh Bhogal, former treasurer Somen Sarkar, and over 50 other members and senior photographers associated with the organization.
Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the historical importance of Republic Day and emphasized the vital role played by photographers in documenting and preserving the nation’s cultural, social, and historical legacy. Members were encouraged to continue working with honesty, unity, and professional responsibility in their respective fields.
