Jamshedpur petrol pump owner Dinesh Sonthalia accused of beating employee for four days

Jamshedpur, Dec 28: The employee of Bharat Petroleum Pump located at Sakchi Roundabout was thrashed by the pump owner Dinesh Sonthalia alleging embezzlement of money. After this, he was kept in Sakchi police station for four days. Sonthalia also thrashed him naked.

Police officer Parvez Alam and other policemen were present on the spot. Employee Uday Kumar Singh is a resident of Harharguttu. He alleged that the beating has caused serious injuries at many places on his body. He has appealed to the high officials of the human rights organization and the police administration for justice. He had reached the SSP office on Tuesday.

In the complaint, he said that he has been working in that pump for the last one year. Online payment made by customers in lieu of filling oil for the last eight months has not reached the account. He informed the manager of the pump. When it was probed, a case of misappropriation of about Rs 19 lakh came to light in these eight months.

Here, when the embezzlement case came to light, the pump owner accused Uday of embezzling. He was brought from Bagbera Harharguttu house to Sakchi police station at around 11.30 pm on December 20. The pump owner and officer of the police station took off his clothes and beat him mercilessly with a stick. Black spots have emerged along with wounds at various places on the body. He was also mentally tortured.
