Health Minister inspects ROB project with MLA Mangal Kalindi

Jamshedpur, Dec 3: State Health Minister Banna Gupta Saturday directed the East Singhbhum district administration to make plans for the rehabilitation of people displaced by the Jugsalai road over bridge (ROB) project.

Gupta, who inspected the ongoing ROB project in Jugsalai along with the local MLA Mangal Kalindi, said the administration should rehabilitate the displaced people under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund. He said the displaced families would get deep boring and power supply in the alternative houses built for them. He further directed the Jugsalai Nagar Parishad to prepare a proposal for developing a parking and auto-rickshaw stand near the ROB at Jugsalai. He said streetlights should be installed on the ROB by the District Mineral Foundation Trust.

Gupta said the Jugsalai police should make sure the vacant land is not encroached again. He asked police to set up a camp in Jugsalai and also directed the fire department to keep fire tenders under the ROB at all times.

After inspecting the ROB, the Minister instructed the road construction department to install high safety nets on both sides of the ROB wall. Dividers and roundabouts should also be built wherever necessary, he said.

The Health Minister interacted with local residents including traders and public representatives and assured to incorporate their suggestions in government plans for the area.
