Jamshedpur pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri

Jamshedpur, October 2: East Singhbhum  Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav paid homage by garlanding the picture of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Senior administrative officers and employees also paid homage by paying floral tributes to the statues of both great men. After that, other officials including the Deputy Commissioner reached Gandhi Maidan, Mango and paid floral tributes to the statue of the Father of the Nation and asked the people of the district to follow the paths of truth and non-violence and make an important contribution in nation building.

Deputy commissioner said that the truth of the Father of the Nation, the path shown by non-violence and the simplicity and decision-making ability of Shastri ji always gave heights to the country. She said that the United Nations General Assembly decided to observe 02 October 2007 as International Day of Non-Violence as well. He said that the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi played an important role in getting freedom for the country by following the path of truth and non-violence.
