Jamshedpur, Mar 7: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has sent an urgent appeal to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, highlighting the persistent delays in train services under South Eastern Railway passing via Tatanagar. Copies of the letter have also been forwarded to the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Railway Board, the General Manager of South-East Railway and the DRM of Chakradharpur Division, urging immediate action in public interest.
General Secretary Manav Kedia shared this information, while Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka issued a press release stating that complaints regarding train delays of up to eight to ten hours have been increasing.
“Passengers are frustrated. Delays are causing losses to businesses, students are missing admissions, job seekers are losing opportunities and patients are unable to reach hospitals on time. Women, children and the elderly are the most affected,” said Moonka.
The Chamber officials, including Vice President Anil Modi, Advocate Rajiv Agarwal, Puneet Kanwatia, Secretary Bharat Makani, Anshul Ringsia, Binod Sharma and Treasurer CA Anil Ringsia, have urged the Railway Minister to intervene and resolve the issue.
