Jamshedpur, Oct 8: Parvinder Singh officially assumed charge as the new President of the East Singhbhum District Congress Committee during a formal ceremony held at the Congress office, Tilak Pustakalaya, Bistupur. The event was chaired by outgoing president Anand Bihari Dubey, who handed over the official charge after welcoming Singh with a bouquet and ceremonial shawl.
Senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, while addressing the gathering, said, “We need to strengthen the organization from the city to the remotest villages and ensure active participation at the booth level. The ongoing ‘Save Constitution’ and ‘Stop Voter Fraud’ signature campaigns must be implemented vigorously.”

In his address, the newly appointed president Parvinder Singh pledged to revitalize the district Congress by engaging all senior leaders and empowering block and mandal presidents. “We will train local-level office bearers and launch the ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhodo’ campaign across the district,” he stated.

Leaders including Ramashray Prasad, Ravindra Kumar Jha, Bijay Khan and Ajay Singh praised Singh’s integrity and long-standing service in NSUI, Youth Congress and Jharkhand Pradesh Congress. The event was attended by hundreds of Congress workers and notable figures such as Sanjeev Srivastava, Riyazuddin Khan, Rajkishore Yadav, Devika Singh and Shashi Kumar Sinha, all of whom lauded the contributions of outgoing president Dubey and expressed confidence in Singh’s leadership.
