Jamshedpur, April 10: East Singhbhum district election officer (Panchayat) Vijaya Jadhav informed about formation of various cells for the three-tier Panchayat (Common) Election-2022 and shared details about the preparations of the district administration.
She said that all necessary preparations are being made in this direction to make the election peaceful, fair and transparent.
“Counting of votes will be done from the ballot box, about 10 thousand personnel will be deputed for successful completion of election work. After the announcement of the election, the model code of conduct is in force in the district from April 9, although the development plans approved earlier will continue to be implemented during this period, but the foundation stone or launch of any new schemes will not be announced now. The elections in the district will be held in four phases,” said Jadhav who is also the deputy commissioner of the district.
In the 11 blocks of the district, there will be election for 27 post of Zilla Parishad member, 275 posts of Panchayat Samiti member and 231 panchayat head and 2748 post of Gram Panchayat (Ward) member- 2748.
There will polling in 2748 booths.
Four election Officer each have been deputed for the post of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti and 11 for the post of Head and for the post of Gram Panchayat Member / Ward Member.
There are male- 532207, female- 535830 and five transgender voters which makes a total of – 1068042 voters in the district.
In the first phase election will be held in the sub-Division (Ghatshila)- Ghatshila, Musabani, Dumaria, Gudabanda and place of counting center would be at JC High School, Ghatshila. T date of polling would be on May 14 and counting on May 17.
In the second phase in Ghatshila subdivision election will be held at Chakulia, Baharagora, Dhalbhumgarh and place of counting center would be at Ghatshila College and polling date would be on May 19 and counting on May 22.
In the third phase of Dhalbhum sub-division polls would be held at Bodam, Patmada, Potka and counting would be held at Jamshedpur Co-operative College and polling would held held on May 24 and counting on May 31.
In the fourth Phase election at Golmuri-cum- Jugsalai the counting center would be at Market Committee Parsudih, Jamshedpur and polling date would be on May 27 and counting on May 31.
Number of polling stations under the block- Ghatshila(262), Musabani(210), Dumaria(124), Gudabanda(86), Chakulia(218), Bahragora(306), Dhalbhumgarh(124), Bodam(139), Patamda( 167), Potka(401), Golmuri-cum- Jugsalai(711)
Voting time would be between 7 am and 3 pm and counting time would be between 8 am and 8 pm.
A total of 61 polling stations which are out of network in shadow area, arrangements have been made for communication plan in 30 polling buildings.
