Jamshedpur: Ornaments stolen from locked quarter at Jemco

Jamshedpur, March 6: Unidentified thieves took away ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh from a locked quarter in Burmamines on Sunday late night. The house owner, Dilip Samanto, said he learnt about the incident this morning. “One of the rooms in the quarter was closed from inside. When I went to the backside of the room, I found the window broken and the valuables missing from the room. I soon informed police about the incident,” he said. Samanto said he had gone to bed late night after watching TV. Only he and his wife were present in the house then, he told cops.
