Jamshedpur: Online auction of 3 sand ghats 

Jamshedpur, May 8: Online tender for three sand ghats in East Singhbhum district will open on May 16. In this regard, district mining officer Sanjay Kumar Sharma said that the tender related to the auction of three selected sand ghats has been uploaded online on May 8.

He told that according to the instructions received by the department, in the initial phase, three sand ghats of the district will be settled. It includes Bankata Balu Ghat, Korea Mohanpal and Kiya Mohanpal Subarnarekha River Ghat. Among the three sand ghats, the grade of Bankata Ghat is A, while the remaining two ghats are of B grade.

He told that the grade is decided on the basis of the area and area of the Ghat. Sand ghats with 0 to 10 hectare area come in A grade, 10 to 50 hectare B grade and sand ghats with more than 50 hectare area come in C grade.

Sanjay Kumar Sharma told that the area of Bankata Balu Ghat is 4.40 hectare, Korea Mohanpal’s 34.7 hectare and Korea Mohanpal Golden Line River Ghat’s area is 40.3 hectare. The tender will be decided by the district committee. ADC, DMO and Executive Engineer of Minor Irrigation and Road Construction Department will be members in the committee along with the Deputy Commissioner.
