Jamshedpur, Jan 28: Police arrested one Anshu Chouhan with a loaded gun while trying to enter Jamshedpur Civil Court here on Saturday. The security personnel at the court, while frisking him, found a gun in his waist. The accused tried to run away, but was caught after a chase.
During checking, cops recovered a loaded pistol with seven bullets from Anshu’s possession. The accused was taken to Sitaramdera police station where he was interrogated by senior police officials. An FIR has been lodged against the accused in this connection.
Anshu’s name surfaced in a gangwar at Bhuiyandih Nitibag Colony. Security at the court premises has been stepped up after this incident.
