Jamshedpur, Aug 8: The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Junior State Hockey Championship 2024 (Men) concluded with a spectacular and nail-biting final match between Team NTHA and Team Ranchi. The championship match, held at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy’s AstroTurf, witnessed an electrifying performance from both teams by 3-3 draw, ultimately culminating in a dramatic shootout that saw Team NTHA crowned as champions.
In the Final Match, Player Navin Kerketta was the Player of the Match. Team Khunti & Team Simdega competed for the hardliners. Team Simdega defeated Team Khunti by 3-1. Player Sundar Purti was the player of the Match from Team Khunti.
The final match was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, Mr. Mohan Ganta, Head HR Tata Motors and Mr. Rajat Singh Town Admins and Sports including officials from Hockey Jharkhand, who lauded the players for their outstanding performances.

As the final whistle blew, signalling the end of regulation time, the tension escalated as the match proceeded to a penalty shootout to determine the champion. In the high-stakes shootout, Team NTHA ultimately secured victory and the championship title.
The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Junior State Hockey Championship 2024, organized under the aegis of Hockey Jharkhand, featured eight teams from various districts of Jharkhand. The teams were divided into Pool A (NTHA, Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Bokaro) and Pool B (Simdega, Gumla, Khunti, Ramgarh). All matches were played at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur, with teams staying at the JRD Sports Complex.
