Seraikela, Sept 11: The two-day women labor training program organized at the Kendua High School in Seraikela Block under the aegis of National Labor Education and Development Board (NLEDB), Jamshedpur Regional Directorate concluded on Saturday. Giving information about the welfare and social security schemes being run by the Central and State Governments, the Regional Education Officer of the Board, Rajkishore Gope appealed to participants to take advantage of the schemes that were specially designed for them. He said, “By enhancing the social and economic power of women workers, we can build a developing society and a nation. Due to lack of awareness in rural areas, women are deprived of the benefits of poverty alleviation and welfare schemes run by the Central and State Governments. The Board is committed since 1958 to the progress of the labor force working in the organized, unorganized and rural areas of India.”
The training program was also addressed by the school’s headmaster, Arjun Majhi, teacher Minakshi Pathak and the Board’s program coordinator Hemsagar Pradhan. Ajay Kumar Mahto, Dangi Hansda, Pratima Mahto, Sunanda Mahto, Ward members Bhavani Mahto, Devti Mahto, Sapna Mahto and Santra Mahto were among those present during the two day training programme.
