Jamshedpur, July 11: City-based social outfit Samadhan Foundation has demanded strict measures on the part of the Central government to control soaring population in the country.

A delegation of outfit members led by the district president Prem Jha met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and handed her a memorandum demanding a strict population policy in place and its uniform implementation across all communities.

The outfit members staged a peaceful demonstration against rising population. Holding posters and placards, the activists demanded two child law for all citizens.

District patron Dinesh Kumar said, “Growing population has become a major challenge for the country. Without effective control on population, it is difficult to build a healthy, prosperous, happy and independent country. We should learn from China which has become a world superpower by controlling population growth.”
