Jamshedpur, Oct 19: An infant girl was found in an abandoned state near Old Age Home in Sakchi late Tuesday night. She was lying in a bag hanging from the looking glass of a car parked at the roadside.
Police rescued the girl and took her to Apex Hospital for medical examination at night. The girl is reportedly safe and under care of adoption agency cum social outfit Sahyog Village, Sources said.
Sources said the girl was spotted around 10 pm after few people heard her cries and found her inside a bag hanging from the car’s mirror. Child Line officials reached the hospital in the morning and gave the child’s custody to the NGO.
Police officials said they were trying to find out as to who left the child at the said place.
