Jamshedpur: Neighbour arrested for theft

Jamshedpur, August 31: Theft was committed in the residence of Sandhya Pal at Shankosai Road No 5 under Ulidih police station on Wednesday night. According to information, Sandhya Pal, along with her family members locked the house and rushed to Dhalbhumgarh. They had received news of her son, Joydeb Pal’s death in a road accident near Bhatajod Bridge under Dhalbhumgarh PS on Wednesday night. On returning from Dhalbhumgarh, Sandhya pal discovered that her house had been burgled. She put in her complaint in the Ulidih PS. The police quickly got into action and arrested her neighbour, Chintu Kumar who admitted to the theft. The stolen articles were recovered from Chintu’s house. Chintu had committed the burglary when Sandhya Das and her family left for Dhalbhumgarh after receiving news of her son’s death. The police sent Chintu to jail on Thursday.
