Jamshedpur: National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has ordered an inquiry into alleged violation of the Right to Education Act, provisions of the Indian Constitution and rules of CBSE Board by DAV Bistupur and St. Marys English School. It has directed the district education officer of Jamshedpur to probe the allegations leveled in this regard by the BJP district spokesperson Ankit Anand.
Anand, who had complained against the said schools following the conduct of lottery for admission in Nursery under separate quotas, claimed justice would be done to students and their parents soon.
The schools conducted lotteries under various quotas details of which they did not divulge in the admission forms. Parents were not informed about the separate lotteries for admission. They were kept in dark till the lottery got over. Now the probe will make everything crystal clear, he said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Anand said the schools had created various quotas for management, companies and staff in the admissions. He said eligible students were subjected to discrimination.
Sources said the NCPCR has sent copies of the order to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar seeking speedy compliance.
