Jamshedpur Murder: Police solve Sonari case in 24 hours; three arrested

Jamshedpur:  Sonari police achieved a breakthrough in the Suraj Pramanik murder case within 24 hours, arresting three individuals, including a history-sheeter. The accused—Manoj Jaiswal alias Manoj Pagli, Pintu Singh alias Prakash Kumar Singh, and notorious criminal Vikas Singh alias Hete—have been sent to judicial custody.
According to the SSP Kishore kaushal, the accused Manoj Jaiswal and Pintu Singh were apprehended near Dobo Bridge, leading to the arrest of Vikas Singh near Nirmal Nagar Kali Temple. Police recovered a pistol used in the crime, three live bullets, a scooty without a number plate, and two mobile phones during the operation.
The investigation revealed that the murder stemmed from an old enmity. In 2017, the deceased, Suraj Pramanik, reportedly made a murderous attack on Manoj Jaiswal, resulting in a registered case and Jaiswal’s subsequent imprisonment. The bullet that killed Suraj was fired by Manoj Jaiswal.
To expedite the investigation, the SSP formed a special team under the leadership of the City SP, including officers from the technical branch and Sonari Police. Their swift action led to the arrests and recovery of critical evidence. The case highlights the efficiency of law enforcement in tackling serious crimes in the city.
