Jamshedpur, July 12: Mosabani police here on Tuesday arrested one Ruidas Sabar for allegedly killing his elder brother Ruba Sabar over a petty issue in Tumangkocha village.
According to SP Rural Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, the accused killed his brother by repeatedly hitting him on his head with a heavy metallic ladle.
The accused got enraged on the issue of preparing mutton during the Shraddh ceremony of his cousin Niranjan Sabar on Saturday late night. He consequently fell out with his elder brother who hit the former with a stone. In retaliation, the accused assaulted his brother with the ladle several times till he was dead, said the SP.
Police recovered the blood-stained cloth of the deceased and the accused from the scene. They also recovered the ladle used in the killing. The accused has been sent to judicial custody, said the SP.
