Jamshedpur murder: Accused surrenders in court

Jamshedpur, July 31: Ranjeet Jha, accused in Ajay Sao murder case of Sonari, surrendered before the court here on Saturday, sources said.

Police said they would soon be taking Jha on remand for interrogation in connection with the murder case. The prime accused in the case, Manish Singh, is at large and raids are on to nab him, police said.

Ajay Sahu was shot dead by assailants on Friday last when he was going home after dropping his children to school around 7.30 am. The bike-borne criminals had shot three bullets on Sahu near C Road at Sonari. The assailants shot three bullets in the victim’s head and two in his hip. Sahu succumbed to injuries at the scene. Later, his wife Laxmi Sao registered a police complaint against Manish Singh, Ranjeet Jha, Deepak Singh, Rahul, Nadeem, Farhan Khan, Sanky Goel, Guddu Goswami, Raja Singh and one unidentified person.
