Jamshedpur: MP Bidyut Baran Mahato laid the foundation stone for the construction of a culvert on the road connecting the railway station to Bagbera Baroda Ghat. It is noteworthy that during his first term, MP Mahato had completed the construction and renovation of this road, covering a stretch of approximately 3 kilometers. He ensured the completion of the project by coordinating with various departments and the railway authorities. However, the construction of the culvert in the middle of this road was left incomplete due to technical reasons, causing significant inconvenience to the residents of Bagbera Basti and Baroda Ghat.
Taking these difficulties into account, MP Mahato made persistent efforts at various levels to resolve the issue, which has now reached fruition. Due to technical requirements, a box bridge is being constructed to facilitate smooth transportation. During the foundation stone-laying ceremony, Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar was also present. The construction work will be executed by the Road Construction Department.
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent figures, including Bagbera Mandal President Ashwani Tiwari, District Councilor Kavita Parmar, Harendra Singh, Subodh Jha, Mukesh Singh, Rajkamal Yadav, Neenu Kudada, Jamuna Hansda, Gopal Ojha, Manoj Kumar, and a large gathering of party workers and locals.
In another development, the long-pending construction of the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Karandih under the Potka Assembly constituency has finally received approval after seven years, thanks to the efforts of MLA Sanjib Sardar. This news was met with great enthusiasm by local youth and residents, who expressed their gratitude by distributing sweets. The stadium is expected to benefit young athletes from nearby areas, including Harharguttu, Karandih, Kitadih, Bagbera, and Sundernagar.
The stadium will be built at a cost of 8.42 crore rupees, with facilities for football, athletics, basketball, badminton, handball, and table tennis. It will also feature a gallery and pavilion with a seating capacity of 4,000 spectators. The project, approved by the Jharkhand government, is expected to be completed within 18 months.
On this occasion, MLA Sanjib Sardar stated that fulfilling promises made to the public is a matter of great honor. He emphasized that the stadium would provide excellent sports facilities to young athletes in the region. Additionally, there are plans to transform it into a model stadium with advanced features like a rubber track in the future.
