Jamshedpur MP meets Union minister Nitin Gadkari with road demands

Jamshedpur, February 8: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato today met the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and demanded the construction of various roads in Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency and inquired about the updated status of various memorandums submitted earlier.

During the talks with the Union Minister, Amol Birajdar, assistant to the secretary to the Minister, informed that  approval of two important roads of East Singhbhum has been granted by the Ministry with funds Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF).

The roads are Susni main road construction up to Bengal border and NH-33 from Phuldungari Ghatshila to Jhanti Jharna via Burudih Dam for 24 km. Tender has been ordered to be issued for both these roads, along with the sanctioned amount to be sent to the state government.

Regarding the elevated corridor, the Union minister told  that all the process of its construction has been completed, now its tender will be floated. The Union Minister said that he himself would go to Jamshedpur to lay the foundation stone of the project.

Apart from this, Bidyut Mahato also said that under the Bharat Mala scheme, construction of two other roads  NH 33 from Pardih to Durgapur via Patmada and Chaibasa via Hata to Musabani, Dumaria, Gudabandha Koima, NH-6.
