Jamshedpur MP meets Union Labour minister over finance bill

Jamshedpur, Mar 9: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato on Tuesday met the Union labour minister Santosh Gangwar and apprised about the proposed financial bill and need to bring alteration to the bill before it is introduced in the Parliament. 
The MP had taken along with him Tata Workers Union newly elected president Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary and raised the demand that the new finance Bill 2021 and the proposed amendment in PF  in which those employees whose contribution to the PF exceeds 2.5 lakh annually will be debarred from tax rebate will have a bad effect on the workers community and informed that several trade unions are raising this issue and the government should think twice before introducing the amendments in the bill so that retired employees can lead a good life with help of the PF amount. 
The Jamshedpur MP further said that in the current scenario the ceiling should be raised to 1000000 to provide respite to the retired employees . The labour minister listened to the demands of the MP and said that the matter would be put before the departmental officials for proper discussion and suitable decision.
