Jamshedpur, Aug 5: MP Bidyut Baran Mahto met Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to expedite the construction work of the proposed elevated corridor from Pardih to Baliguma on NH-33 of Jamshedpur. It is noteworthy that in the past, Gadkari had convened a meeting for the project.
In the meeting, MP Mahto said that in view of the dense traffic, he had given in-principle consent for the construction of elevated corridor from Km 243 to Km 248.50 (Pardih Kali Mandir to Baliguma) of NH-33, PKG-4 under Jamshedpur urban area. In order to solve the problems of Jamshedpur of NH-33, tenders were invited for preparation of detailed project report (DPR) after in-principle approval of elevated corridor in its place by discoupling the path from 243 km to 248.50.
MP Mahto told the Minister that this work should be started at the earliest in public interest. On this, Gadkari directed the officers of NHAI present there to convene a meeting of high level experts in this regard for Ranchi, Pune and Chennai including Jamshedpur at the earliest, in which the technical cell as well as the people of the tender disposal committee were also there. .
Gadkari also directed the officials present that the information of the meeting should be given to all the concerned MPs and the updated status should be provided. He also said that a decision would be taken in the said meeting as to when the implementation of these works would be started.
Apart from this, MP Mahto informed about the demolition of a service road constructed by Dilip Buildcon from Dhalbhumgarh to Baharagora in Jamshedpur NH-33 within one year and demanded an inquiry. Gadkari gave approval for investigation for the poor construction work of the said road.
