Jamshedpur, Dec 16: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato met the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi and discussed various demands pertaining to passenger amenities for the people of his constituency. He iterated the demand for starting new train service from Tatanagar to Buxar. He said the said train was being demanded by the local people for the last several years.
The Union Minister immediately called four senior Railway authorities and sought their response on the reason behind the delay in starting the Tata-Buxar train service. The officials said a work plan to fulfill the said demand was underway and that the train service would soon be started.
Mahato also demanded regularization of Tata-Ernakulam train service. He said Tata-Alleppey Express used to run regularly and a considerable number of passengers were available here.
