Jamshedpur MP conferred Sansad Ratna Award

Jamshedpur, March 26: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato was awarded the Sansad Ratna Award on Saturday
Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Meghwal gave him the award at Maharashtra Sadan, New Delhi.
The MP Bidyut Baran Mahato said that this award is dedicated to the people of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha.

“This award is dedicated to the poor, farmers, laborers, youth companions of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha as well as each and every worker of BJP. Due to their inspiration, they are active in their service every moment. The faith and affection with which the people of Jamshedpur sent me to the Lok Sabha I have always tried to live up to it, ” said Mahato.
 Expressing his happiness, he said that all the credit goes to the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, whose efficient leadership and guidance,he  has got an opportunity to learn, understand and know a lot.

Significantly, he was selected by the Prime Point Foundation for the Sansad Ratna Award. In which 11 MPs who have done excellent work in the 17th Lok Sabha have been selected. Its selection committee is headed by Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Meghwal and its co-chairman is former Election Commissioner T.S. Krishnamurti.

 It is also worth mentioning that this award was instituted on the suggestion of former President Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and since 2011 till now 75 MPs have been honored.
