Jamshedpur: Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm by the Link Road Jogging/Walking Group, Sonari, under the leadership of its founder, Sudhir Kumar Pappu. The event took place early in the morning on Sonari Link Road and witnessed the participation of several local residents and group members.
Born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Ambedkar—fondly remembered as the architect of the Indian Constitution—has left a lasting legacy as a social reformer, economist, jurist, and human rights advocate. His life and work continue to inspire millions across the nation.
Paying homage, Sudhir Kumar Pappu—senior advocate at Jamshedpur Court and Secretary of the Sonari Police Station Peace Committee—offered floral tributes to Ambedkar’s portrait. In his address, he remembered Dr. Ambedkar as a guiding force and urged all citizens to follow his path of justice, social equality, and unity. He emphasized the importance of rising above caste-based divisions and working together for the betterment of society and the nation.
The celebration included a ceremonial cake cutting and the distribution of laddus among the attendees. The spirit of unity and reverence marked the event, which was attended by notable participants including Sanjay Kumar Rajak, Sarvesh Prasad, Haridas, Ayodhya Prasad, Ashok Singh, Ajay Radhe, poet Naresh Prasad, Ashok Sahu, Arun John, Harish Sahu, Ajay Kumar (former Ranger), Bapi, Vijay Singh, Manoj Prasad, Dinesh Rao, Lallan Singh, Dilip Chaudhary, Anil Gupta, Sanjay Prasad, among hundreds of other companions.
