Jamshedpur, February 10: Nikhil Roy, who had gone to pick up his wife from her maternal house in the LIG flat under Kadma police station, died.
Nikhil’s brother-in-law Vicky and Sunny were also injured in this incident. Nikhil has been attacked with a sharp weapon. After getting the information, Nikhil’s mother Papu Roy reached MGM Hospital.
She told that Nikhil had eloped with Kadma resident Honey Singh in 2017 and had a love marriage. Nikhil used to consume a lot of alcohol, fed up with this, his wife went to her maternal home on Thursday.
“Nikhil had gone to his in-laws house last night to bring his wife, where his in-laws had beaten him up and injured him. The in-laws handed him over to the police. The police kept him in the police station overnight. After being released from the police station on Friday morning, he again went to his in-laws house, where the in-laws killed him,” she alleged.
On the other hand, Vicky, the brother-in-law of the deceased told that Nikhil was creating ruckus in the house and attacked himself with a sharp weapon. Presently the police are investigating the matter.
