Jamshedpur, September 15. Local people caught a youth on a bike who was allegedly running away after snatching the mobile phone of a woman resident of Kadma Bhatia Basti near Alcor Hotel under Bistupur police station.
People thrashed the man and handed him over to the police.
The police took him to the police station where he is being interrogated. Local people told that the woman was walking on foot while talking on the phone.
Meanwhile, a young man riding a bike arrived from behind, snatched the mobile and started running towards Ranikudar. People chased him and caught him near Ranikudar. The young man had tampered with the number plate of his bike, so that he could not be caught.
