Jamshedpur MLA Saryu welcomes Banna’s legal salvo, to submit all documents in Court

Jamshedpur,April 25: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy later in the evening released a press statement stating that he had come to know that PA of the health minister issued a statement to the media that Banna Gupta has filed a defamation case against him.

“This statement should have been given by the minister or his advocate. Nevertheless, I welcome it. He has given me an opportunity to present the facts in this matter before the Court. I don’t know whether he has filed this suit as Health Minister or in personal capacity. He has also not made public the application given to the court in the case,” said Saryu Roy.

“I questioned the health minister’s erratic conduct of taking the amount of Covid incentives himself, giving it to the employees of the minister’s cell and also registering the names of those who are not employees of his cell in the list of those who took the incentives, which were published by the newspapers. I informed the Chief Minister about this by writing a letter and demanded the dismissal of Banna Gupta from the post of Minister. All the documents that I attached with the letter are in the files of the Health Department. How did this defame him?” questioned Saryu.

“The minister put a list of his treasury workers in the file, approved, ordered them to give Kovid incentive money, made his own bill to take the incentive amount, gave his bank account number, sent the bill to the Treasury. I also gave this thing in writing to the Chief Minister. This also appeared in the newspaper. How did Banna ji get defamed by this?,” asked Saryu.

Saryu Roy threatened that he would put all the documents before the court and ask how has been the socio-political-administrative activities of the minister and What is their level of respect? How and how much has my statement reduced his honor and respect? The level to which his value has reached by his conduct, did my statement allow him to go down further?

“I am glad that they have filed a case against me. They have the illusion that this case will stop, scare me from campaigning against corruption. Tomorrow I will ask the government that how many personnel the government has given permission to keep in the cell of a minister. I am aware of the earlier provision. But has there been any amendment in this after the formation of the government of Hemant Soren. If not, then who has given permission to keep such a large number of personnel in the ministerial cell of Banna Gupta? From which head is the salary of these ministers being paid?” asked Roy.
