Jamshedpur, May 11: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy today gifted an ambulance costing Rs 18 lakh from his legislative fund to JNAC. The Winger ambulance was flagged off from the District Collectorate office jointly by Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar, JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar, BJM district president Subodh Srivastav, MLA Saryu Roy’s social facilitator Hareram Singh and Asutosh Roy. The ambulance will add to the fleet that is already in service during the prevailing COVID period.
It may be mentioned that Saryu Roy, in view of the rapid growth in coronavirus infection cases had written to the DDC on May 1in which he had recommended the donation of an ambulance and a hearse from his legislative fund. While the ambulance was handed over to the JNAC, the hearse is expected to be shortly delivered to JNAC.
