Jamshedpur, Nov 26: Newly elected Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy addressed the members of the Jamshedpur District Bar Association on Constitution Day, urging them to point out any mistakes in his work so that they could be rectified immediately. He emphasized that mistakes were a part of working but should be rectified promptly to ensure better performance.
“I am a human being, and I work in politics. If I make any mistakes, I expect you to inform me so I can correct them without delay,” said Roy. “If needed, I will stop the work to make necessary corrections. My goal is to do better work with your cooperation.”
He further discussed the importance of lawmakers’ involvement in creating effective laws. Roy stressed that if public representatives focused more on their duty to create just laws, the discrepancies and issues faced today would be resolved. He added that this would relieve pressure on the courts, allowing advocates to perform their roles more efficiently.
Reflecting on recent legal changes, Roy mentioned that although there were concerns about the new legal provisions, they had been implemented successfully without causing problems to the people.
Jamshedpur District Bar Association President Rathin Das welcomed Roy at the event, and other members of the committee, including General Secretary Rakesh Ranjan and advocates Bariyar, Balai Panda, Rajhans Tiwari, and RD Singh, also joined in welcoming the MLA. The District Bar Association Committee members shared their needs with Roy, who assured them of his commitment to fulfilling their demands.
