Jamshedpur MLA Saryu prod for timely submission of probe report in High Court

Jamshedpur, October 9: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy today spoke with Assembly speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato about the compliance of the instructions to submit the investigation report of the Justice Vikramaditya Commission constituted to investigate the irregular appointments in the Assembly.

Saryu Roy requested that presenting the investigation report of the Commission before the Jharkhand High Court on the due date will enhance the prestige of the House and put an end to unnecessary speculations.

In a release issued by Saryu Roy the Speaker said that he himself is in favor of submitting this investigation report to the High Court as soon as possible, but on the demand of the Justice Mukhopadhyay Committee formed after this, the House Office sent the recommendation of Justice Vikramaditya Commission to the personnel department. The Assembly office has not even kept the photocopy of the report so that a copy can be signed and submitted to the High Court.

He told that after the instructions of the High Court, the Sabha Office has written a letter to the personnel department asking for the report so that it can be presented before the High Court.

Roy requested the Speaker that if the Personnel Department does not submit this report to the House Office, then he can provide a photocopy of this investigation report to the Speaker, so that the House Office can submit it to the High Court. Otherwise the assembly secretary may become liable for contempt of court.
