Jamshedpur, January 25: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai today inaugurated five schemes constructed from his MLA fund at a cost of about Rs 50 lakhs.
The schemes include construction of drainage pipe, pavers block road, passengers rest house, painting of Sone Mandap boundary walls, repair work of water fountain, drains and sewerage line in various urban slums in non company command areas of Bhuyandih, Sidgora JAP 6, Old Cable Town in Golmuri, New DS Flat and C type CableTown.
During the field visit, Saryu Roy got information about the above problems. Due to lack of drain in Bhuyandih Chhayanagar, water used to enter people’s houses during the rainy season while residents in New DS Flat and C Type of New Cable Town, people were facing the problem of sewerage blockage for years. At the same time, after the construction of the Yatri Niwas and the Sone Mandap , the situation had become very dilapidated due to its not being maintained properly and all these works were carried out from MLA fund.
