Jamshedpur: Minor found with live ammunition

Jamshedpur, April 6: In a startling incident that raised fresh concerns over public safety, alert personnel of the Tiger Mobile unit prevented a potential security threat in broad daylight under the Telco police station area on Monday.
The episode unfolded near the Labour Bureau area when a patrolling team noticed a minor riding a motorcycle and behaving suspiciously.
His nervous demeanour caught the attention of the jawans, prompting them to signal him to stop. Initially hesitant and visibly anxious, the teenager’s conduct further deepened suspicion, leading the team to conduct a thorough search.
What followed left even the seasoned personnel taken aback. The minor was found carrying ten live cartridges concealed on his person. The recovery of such a significant quantity of ammunition in a busy locality during peak hours immediately set off alarm bells, with locals expressing shock and concern over the possible implications.
Acting swiftly, the Tiger Mobile team detained the minor and handed him over to the Telco police for further investigation. Sources said the teenager is currently being kept at a secure, undisclosed location where he is being questioned intensively to ascertain the origin of the ammunition and its intended use.
