Jamshedpur, October 3: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy criticized the inauguration of the new OPD building at MGM College Hospital, calling it an election gimmick. In a statement, Roy highlighted that the facility lacked proper medical infrastructure, including inadequate water supply and a dilapidated hostel. He pointed out safety concerns for girl students and absence of a playground.

Roy further questioned the use of ₹34,000 crore allocated for health services over the past five years, demanding a special audit to investigate how this vast sum was spent, given the poor state of health facilities. He called for a high-level inquiry into the matter.
