Jamshedpur, June 14: The outer balcony of the surgical building of MGM Hospital suddenly started falling apart on Wednesday.
Due to which there was chaos among the people in that particular area. Many people narrowly escaped being hit by portions of plaster portions of balcony.
A home guard jawan was deployed there. People were forbidden from going towards the damaged building. Due to which a huge crowd of people gathered there. People who had parked their two-wheelers adjacent to the building carefully removed their vehicles. However, many vehicles got scratched due to falling of stone. The home guard jawan told that the incident of falling of the balcony took place after 11.30 am. At that time, a large number of patients and their relatives had come to the hospital. The jawan said that many people were denied permission to park their vehicles there.
Significantly, surgical building was built during the inception of MGM Hospital. Being an old building, it has become dilapidated.
There is an artho ward on the ground floor of the surgical building and a surgical ward on the first floor. Patients are admitted in both the wards.
