Jamshedpur: Member of looters’ gang arrested with arms in Telco

Jamshedpur, Dec 27: Police here arrested one Karan Bhuiyan for allegedly carrying out loots at gunpoint in Telco. Two associates of the accused, however, managed to flee the crime scene, police said.

Addressing a press conference, SP City K Vijay Shankar said police had recovered a country-made gun along with silver chain and other articles from the possession of the accused who is a resident of Bhuiyandih. “Karan and his two associates had looted gold and silver chains and other valuables from a car-borne man near Telco recently. A case was registered in this connection. Police was conducting regular checking to catch the culprits. During patrolling, police spotted Karan and his two aides riding a scooter at an isolated place ahead of River View Colony. When asked to stop, they started fleeing. One of them, Karan, fell from the vehicle and was arrested. The other two accused have been identified,” said the SP.
