Jamshedpur: Medical team for Durga puja rush 

Jamshedpur, October 22: The district police and administration have made preparations for the immersion procession of the idol of Maa Durga on the day of Dussehra.

At the same time, the health department is also busy in preparations at its level. 18 teams have been formed by the department. The doctors and paramedical staff included in the team will be deployed on the banks of Kharkai and Swarnarekha rivers along with ambulances and essential medicines.

Medical team will also be present at various intersections of the city, where crowds of devotees gather for the immersion procession. On the other hand, divers will also be deployed on the river banks by the district administration.

East Singhbhum civil surgeon Dr Jujhar Majhi said that the team will be deployed in all the major places of the city. 22 ambulances will be available across the district to help people. Ambulances have been given to hospitals in rural and urban areas including MGM, Sadar Hospital. Eight ambulances have also been taken from private hospitals, which will be deployed at different places.

Emergency number has been given in the control room. Besides, a WhatsApp group has also been created so that immediate assistance can be provided to anyone on receiving information.
