Jamshedpur man’s leg amputated after being hit by train near Dukhu Market

Jamshedpur, Feb 26: A man suffered severe injuries, including the amputation of his right leg, after being struck by a train near Dukhu Market in the Jugsalai police station area on Monday morning. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) team promptly arrived at the scene, responding to information from local residents, and transported the injured individual, identified as Ganesh Kumar Ram of Bengalipada, to MGM Hospital for treatment.

Ganesh Kumar Ram’s right leg was amputated, and he sustained serious head injuries in the accident. His wife, Sunita Devi, rushed to MGM Hospital upon learning about the incident. Witnessing her husband’s critical condition, both she and their children were overcome with grief. Sunita Devi explained that her husband had lost his left leg in another accident three years ago. Since then, he and their children had been working to support the household.

On the morning of the incident, Sunita Devi had gone to work when she received news of the accident. Confronted with the gravity of her husband’s injuries, she decided to transfer him from MGM Hospital to TMH for further medical attention.
