Jamshedpur, April 1: Manish Singh, accused in several criminal cases, surrendered in the court here on Friday. He was especially wanted in connection with a case of attempt to murder and snatching of cash registered by Jugsalai police, police sources said.
Sources said Manish Singh and his associates had allegedly assaulted one Raju Singh in Jugsalai’s Pawat Mohalla on the day of Holi recently. In retaliation, Raju Singh’s supporters had reportedly barged into the house of Arjun Singh and also set hi car on fire. Police had lodged an FIR against Vinod Singh, Ravindra Singh, Ashish Singh, Akash singh, Sanjay Singh and Ritesh Singh in this connection.
According to Arjun, Manish Singh and his companions had fallen out with his younger brother on the issue of playing DJ music during Holi. An FIR was lodged with the Jugsalai PS on 20th March after this incident.
