Jamshedpur: The APR Nair Trophy cricket tournament, held in Mango for school students, came to an exciting close on Sunday with Mango XI emerging victorious. In a nail-biting final, Mango XI triumphed over Nation Boys by a margin of seven runs.
Manish Kushwaha of Mango XI stole the spotlight, earning the title of Player of the Match for his outstanding half-century performance in the crucial final match. Meanwhile, Aryan was bestowed with the prestigious Player of the Tournament award for his consistent contributions throughout the competition.
The accolades didn’t stop there as Akbar was recognized as the Best Fielder, Nikhil as the Best Bowler, and Rishu as the Best Batsman of the tournament, showcasing their remarkable skills on the field.
The award distribution ceremony was graced by social workers Dr. Afroz Shakeel, Rashid, and Sanjay Tudu, along with coaches Ajay Das, Lucky Soren, and Mohd. Shahnawaz.
With a total of nine school teams participating in the tournament, the competition was fierce and filled with talent from budding young cricketers.
Dr. Afroz Shakeel, the chief guest, presented the APR Nair Trophy and cash prize to the victorious Mango XI team, marking the culmination of an exciting cricketing event aimed at fostering young talent in the region.
