Jamshedpur, Dec 16: Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) launched a campaign to remove encroachment from streets in Mango on Thursday. A team of MMC officials removed various commercial goods, building materials and vehicles kept on the roads at different places. The vehicles were parked on the roads by the owners of automobile showrooms and garages. A sum of Rs 10,000 was imposed on the offenders with warning against repeating the offence.

MMC sources said the executive officer Suresh Yadav had issued orders to remove vehicles, commercial goods and building materials from roads to pave way for commuters and prevent road accidents. Stern action would be taken against those who flout municipal orders with impunity, sources said.
