Jamshedpur man sent to jail for raping daughter-in-law

Jamshedpur, Mar 11: A disturbing case of the alleged rape of a daughter-in-law by her father-in-law has surfaced in the Kamalpur police station area of East Singhbhum district. Following the complaint, the police took swift action, arresting the accused father-in-law and subsequently placing him in custody. The incident reportedly occurred on 27th February.

According to available information, the daughter-in-law had been subjected to repeated acts of rape by her father-in-law. Distressed by the ordeal, she had earlier confided in her parents, but unfortunately, her pleas went unheard. In desperation, the victim resorted to recording a video of the assaults and shared it with society members.

As societal intervention failed to resolve the issue, the matter was escalated to the police station. Subsequently, the accused father-in-law was arrested, and legal proceedings have been initiated against him. Sources indicate that, during attempts at reconciliation, the victim had sought all the property belonging to her father-in-law. When the latter refused, the situation escalated, leading to the victim filing an official complaint with the police.
