Jamshedpur: A Gudabandha man allegedly killed his sister’s husband after the latter married for the third time. The incident transpired after cops recovered the body of the deceased from a well almost 10 days after the incident. This was informed here on Saturday by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr M Tamil Vanan during a press conference in his office.
The SSP said the deceased, Ladu Haiburu, a resident of Marotolia Dumasai village, had gone missing on 16th March last. Ladu’s family members had lodged a police complaint in this connection on 26th March and suspected the involvement of several local villagers in the Ladu’s disappearance.
Police team recovered Ladu’s skeleton from the well situated 10 km away from the village. The body was identified by Junu Haiburu, Ladu’s brother. Police took in custody two persons, identified as Singrai Soy alias Mutu Soy and Santan Soy, in connection with the killing. The accused persons told police they had killed Ladu after getting rid of his daily acts of torturing his wife. They said they were hurt by the ill-treatment meted out to their sister by Ladu after his third marriage.
