Jamshedpur, May 27: A case of kidnapping and assault involving an employee of P&M Mall in Bistupur has emerged, resulting in the arrest and imprisonment of the accused, Ravi Kumar Yadav.
The incident unfolded when Ravi, allegedly accompanied by an associate, abducted fellow mall worker Md Sahil on Sunday. The pair reportedly took Sahil to Ghaghidih ground, where they assaulted him and demanded ransom. Additionally, Sahil was forcibly shaved and left in Jugsalai.
Upon learning of the ordeal, Sahil’s family members descended upon the mall, protesting vehemently and attempting to block its main entrance. Police intervention was required to quell the unrest, with Ravi subsequently apprehended and taken into custody.
According to reports, the animosity between Ravi and Sahil stemmed from Sahil’s complaint to mall management regarding Ravi’s behavior with a girl while on duty. The management’s subsequent disciplinary action against Ravi allegedly fueled his retaliation.
After Sahil filed an FIR, Ravi was sent to jail.
